The materials engineering department and its innovative testing laboratory provide services in non-destructive and destructive testing, materials analysis, and metallography for research, development and production monitoring. The department’s range of services offered also includes metallurgical welding studies, damage reports, consultation and implementation of strength calculations and structural analyses.

In addition to an extensive range of technical testing services, one of the core activities at the materials engineering department lies in training qualified testing personnel for TÜV or IHK certificates.

Our training programmes conclude with a technical testing qualification according to DIN EN ISO 9712 acknowledged across Europe. Apart from that, the department provides a series of specialised further training programmes for technical testing specifically aimed at welding professionals.

Retraining programmes include materials tester training with a certificate from the chamber of commerce.
