The testing laboratory of the Materials Technology Department is accredited by the „Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle GmbH“ (DAkkS GmbH) for mechanical-technological, metallographic as well as analytical tests and non-destructive tests according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 plus the flexibilisation according to category III. The testing laboratory is permitted to use the standardised test methods listed in the annex to the certificate with different editions of the standards without the need for prior information and approval by DAkkS GmbH.
As a neutral body for industry, trade, public institutions and research, the test laboratory of SLV Halle GmbH carries out examinations, expert opinions and damage analyses on materials, welded and bolted joints as well as rails and components. For this purpose, the necessary test equipment and systems are available in all areas, which are operated by experienced qualified personnel. On the basis of modern testing equipment and by constant qualification of the employees, the constant adaptation to the developments in the material and joining technology is ensured in the material testing of the SLV Halle GmbH.
The range of services within the scope of the accreditation of the testing laboratory by DAkkS GmbH can be found in the annex to the accreditation certificate D-PL-17369-02-00 according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018. Furthermore, the testing laboratory has an up-to-date list of all test methods in the flexible accreditation area with the respective issue statuses. Within the flexible accreditation areas marked in the Annex to the accreditation certificate, the testing laboratory is permitted to apply the standardised test methods listed here with the respective current editions of the standards, provided that the measuring principle is already included in the scope of accreditation.
The quality of the work is ensured by the use of experienced and qualified employees. External and internal training measures as well as the processing of research projects in the field of welding and testing ensure that the employees of the Department of Materials Technology apply the latest state of the art, the required safety regulations and the national and international standards and regulations.
The top management ensures that the quality policy and quality objectives are defined and fit the corporate strategy and the environment of the company, and that they are communicated, understood and implemented within the company. It determines the responsibilities and powers for relevant roles. These are made known in the organisation and must be understood. All staff involved in testing activities within the testing laboratories are familiar with the quality documentation and implement the principles and procedures in their work.
The management, the quality officer, the head of department and laboratory as well as all employees of the testing laboratory of SLV Halle GmbH ensure strict compliance with all obligations resulting from the work and handling of DIN EN ISO/IEC 17 025.
The laboratory manager and the quality representative are responsible for ensuring compliance with the management system, even in the event of planned and implemented changes, and are committed to continuous improvement of the effectiveness of the management system.
