Companies that perform welding work in manufacturing of new welded products and companies in repair welding require qualification according to DIN EN 15085-2. Certification by a manufacturer certification body (ECWRV recognized MCB) is sufficient. Note: certification according to ISO 3834-2 or 3 does not replace certification according to DIN EN 15085-2 – welding manufacturers shall apply to a manufacturer certification body (MCB). The documentation process is based on of DIN EN 15085 –part 1-5, staffing requirements, process and welding tests, design requirements and regulations, materials, weld performance classes, planning and welding execution documents.
